BLAST R6 Major Munich 2025 Preview: Breaking Down Every Team

Date Posted: 2025-11-03

A quick overview of every team competing at the BLAST R6 Munich Major 2025 authored by Kebo and Gonzo.

Team Falcons
Same story, different event. After an extremely disappointing Esports World Cup 2025, Falcons seem to have returned to form in Stage 2 and come in to the major as one of the top teams from European MENA Leage. This roster had a very successful yet heartbreaking year as they made it to the Grand Finals of every event but only managed to win Esports World Cup 2024 thus strengthening the “Saudi Merchants” nickname they have earned by only winning the biggest non-Ubisoft circuit event every year. If this Falcons roster can keep there bounce back form from EML Stage 2 they will come into the Munich Major 2025 as one of the favourites to win it all.

Team Secret
Eight. That’s how many years it took Team Secret to win an S-Tier event after finally triumphing over G2 at Esports World Cup 2025. Team Secret started off European MEAN League Stage 2 2025 in a slump losing their first 3 games. While it is common for teams to struggle after winning the previous event Team Secret showed some major resilience and still managed to finish second in EML Stage 2 and come in to the Munich Major as a contender. Can this Team Secret roster repeat their EWC 2025 success? or was it a “Miracle Run”.

G2
When does Stompn play? G2 are one of Rainbow Six Siege Esports most historic organisations. From their dynasty run in 2018 and 2019, to their 2023 World Championship, G2 have been the pinnacle of success in R6 Esports since they entered the scene and their fans share the same expectations as the org, win. G2 had their struggles last year causing them to make some major roster moves. The biggest of which being picking up the North American “Golden Boy”, Stompn. The large following Stompn has combined with the already huge fan base of G2 has put some high expectations and a lot of attention on this team. While they weren’t quite able to win Esports World Cup 2025, their second place finish showed the world that they have the ability to be a top team on any given day. All it would take is a few favourable matchups in the Swiss stage for G2 to be qualifying for playoffs at the Munich Major 2025 and having a chance for Stompn to win his first career Major.

BDS
A fresh start. Following Six Invitational 2025 BDS were left with a large fan base, big expectations, but no roster. When their top team was poached by Team Falcons their only option was to start anew. While on paper most would say the new roster of Freq, Virtue, Lasmooo, P4 and Robby doesn’t quite stack up to BDS rosters of the past, they still managed to qualify for the Munich Major 2025. Just making it to the event shows some major improvements for this team from Stage 1 to Stage 2 and if they are able to qualify for playoffs that would be a huge success for BDS.

FURIA
The best to ever do it. After winning two Majors and a Six Invitational in 2023 as well as Top 3 at Six Invitational, RE:L0:AD Champions and 2 South American League wins in 2025, this FURIA roster, formerly W7M, are back to showing why they are arguably the greatest team to ever compete in R6 Esports history. While they struggled to find results in 2024 and missed out on the Montreal Major 2024 all together, they seem to be back to their old ways. They come into the Munich Major as the top seed for South America and are undoubtedly one of the favourites to win it all. If they are able to pull it off, they will be the undisputed “GOATS” of Rainbow Six Siege, winning multiple events in multiple era’s with multiple organisations.

W7M
Win it for Paluh. W7M are the most recent Major winners after winning the Montreal Major 2024 but they have since made a big move. Paluh is statistically the best to ever do it so it was no surprise that W7M scooped him up after his departure from Team Liquid. While he has hit almost every major milestone in his career, he has never won an S-tier event (Major or Six Invitational). With the rest of the roster being Major winners and now the addition of Paluh, it is a certainty that W7M have what it takes to win again. Will W7M become be back-to-back major champs? Or will Paluh’s curse continue.

FaZe
Reigning World Champions. The Six Invitational 2025 Champions should be coming in to the Munich Major 2025 as favorites. This FaZe roster are the definition of consistency and there should be no doubts about their abilities heading into the event. If I were a betting man… I am betting on FaZe making the finals.

Ninjas in Pyjamas
The return of a titan. NiP are one of the most successful orgs in R6 Esports but they have had their struggles in recent years. This roster of pino, kondz, Fntzy, Hatez and Wizard is one of the most well rounded teams in South America League. With plenty of experience and fire power on board the biggest question will be how they will stack up in international play. With no major successes since 2021. The climb back to the top feels steep but they have gotten this far, how much further can they go?

M80
The Fabian effect. This M80 roster is textbook North American Siege. With heavy shield play and a slow plant focused playstyle, M80 are looking on top form headed into the Munich Major 2025. Recently picking up Fabian as their new coach has revitalized this once highly looked at org. While they struggled in Stage 1 Fabian has caused some huge improvements in Stage 2 and they come into the Major as North America’s biggest hope at a Major title.

Spacestation Gaming
Down but not out. SSG are known for performing when it matters the most and their never give up mentality. It is no surprise that after a poor North American League Stage 2 2025 Group Stage that they were able to pull off a run through playoffs and qualify for the Munich Major. While they never seem to come in to events as one of North America’s favourites, they almost always manage to make playoffs and be one of North America’s top performing teams. Even though they haven’t won an event since Six Invitational 2020, it is hard to count them out of making a run in Munich.

Shopify Rebellion
Giants. The Rebellion roster, formerly Soniqs, has some extreme hype around it. Made up of Canadian, Spoit, Ambi, Surf and Rexen this team has everything from championship experience, young blood, fire power and big names . While on paper they should be North America’s best team and a favourite to win it all they have been together for less than a year and have had minimal international success so far. A top 4 finish in Munich would be success and how some real growth for this stacked roster. However, you can never count out Canadian at an international event.

Wildcard
Living up to the name. While this roster contains some big names including a Major Champion in d4sh. Not many expected them to qualify for the Munich Major 2025 over teams like DarkZero and Oxygen Esports. With this being the first event the team has qualified for since entering the North American League the expectations are low but don’t be surprised if we see some major upsets along the way. Most of the players on Wildcard have minimal international experience but they have shown the ability to beat top teams in North America. Will they be able to transfer this success to the Major or will this be a learning experience for the team?

CAG
Top dogs in APAC. Cyclops come in to the Munich Major as the top seed for APAC but expectations are not high. While they had a miracle run at RE:L0:AD 2025, they were not faced with any extremely strong opponents until the Grand Finals where they lost 3-0. We can expect to see an upset out of CAG once in Munich but qualifying for playoffs or a deep run would be a stretch.

Weibo
APAC’s Hope. While they weren’t able to secure the top spot in APAC, Weibo without a doubt come into Munich as the biggest chance for APAC to make a deep run. On paper, they are built from APAC’s most talented players and have plenty of experience on the international stage. Don’t be surprised if we see a DAMWON repeat from the Sweden Major 2021 and Weibo go on a top 4 run in Munich.

Dplus
The villains. The experiment worked and the full Brazilian import roster qualified for Munich through APAC after Dplus ditched the all-Korean roster for a mix of experienced Brazilian players. While most people are cheering on their downfall, the Dplus roster containing some former Major Champions will try and show that they deserve to be here. Expectations are low as they haven’t faced very strong teams to get here so a playoff qualification for Dplus would be a surprise.

Enterprise
OCE’s pride and joy. The Australian roster of Bapn, Fishoguy, Relaes, Tuhan and Playxr have had a successful year qualifying for both the Esports World Cup 2025 and Munich Major 2025. That however, is where the success ends. After placing last at EWC without winning a map it is hard to set expectations much higher in Munich. That combined with the Swiss format at the Major, it would be a major success for Enterprise to not be one of the first 2 teams eliminated.
